The War Childhood Museum (Sarajevo, BiH) is an institution dedicated to preserving and sharing the experiences of children who grow up affected by armed conflict worldwide. It focuses on documenting and presenting personal stories, objects, and testimonies of individuals who lived through war as children or who are currently affected by it.
The Museum’s collection contains stories of children from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Eritrea, Ukraine and many other conflict and post-conflict zones. It is continuously expanding with the aim of shedding light on the long-lasting impact of conflict on children, but also their resilience, creativity, and strength displayed in the face of hardships.
